BIOMEDICAL SIGNAL AND IMAGE PROCESSING
Supervisor: Prof. Ales Procházka
The main objectives of the thesis can be summarized as follows:
-
visualization of multi-dimensional magnetic resonance (MR) data sets
-
presentation of the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) de-noising algorithms that are applied to enhance noisy MR data sets
-
application of dual tree complex wavelet transform (DT CWT) in the analysis and de-noising of MR
biomedical images
-
introductory principle of the watershed algorithm for image texture
segmentation
-
classification of image textures using a competitive neural network
